Emergency funding questions, answered

What counts as a business emergency?

Anything where a business needs money on a deadline to avoid serious harm: an ATO garnishee or director penalty notice, wages or super due, a breakdown that stops work, flood, fire or storm damage, a supplier stopping supply, a statutory demand, a lost contract, or a property settlement about to fail.

How fast can I get an emergency business loan?

With property security, $20k to $250k is possible the same day and up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours. Without property, same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts. Timing depends on documents, title checks and signatures, so we confirm what's realistic on the first call.

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There is no credit check when you first enquire. It only comes up if you decide to proceed with a specific option.

Will my enquiry be sent to lots of lenders?

No. We don't spray your details across the market. A specialist reads your situation and approaches the lender that fits, which avoids a pile of credit enquiries and calls.

How much can I borrow?

Property-secured business loans range from $20,000 to $5,000,000 against residential or commercial property. Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options are typically $5,000 to $500,000 for trading businesses, sized on turnover and bank statements.

Can I get an emergency loan with bad credit?

Often. Past credit issues and ATO debt are considered case by case. Property security makes approval more likely; without it, healthy recent bank statements carry most of the weight.

Can I use a loan to pay the ATO?

Yes, business loans are often used to clear or reduce an ATO debt, release a garnishee or fund the deposit on a payment plan. Talk to the ATO and your accountant as well, so the payment resolves the problem you think it does.

What is a caveat loan?

A short-term loan secured by lodging a caveat on the title of a property, which records the lender's interest. It can be arranged quickly, often behind an existing mortgage, and suits short emergencies with a clear way to repay.

What is a second mortgage?

A registered mortgage that sits behind your existing first mortgage. It lets you borrow against spare equity without refinancing the first loan, which is why it can move fast.

Do I need to own a home?

No. Property security opens the fastest and largest options, but trading businesses without property can access unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options.

What documents will I need?

Usually photo ID for each director, your ABN or ACN, three to six months of business bank statements, the notice or invoice behind the emergency, and property details if you are offering security.

Can the money be paid straight to the creditor?

Often, yes. Paying the ATO, a supplier, a repairer or the other side of a settlement directly at funding is common in emergency loans.

Are your loans for personal use?

No. We arrange finance for business purposes only.

Do you publish interest rates?

No. Every emergency loan is priced on the business's circumstances — the security, the term and the exit. You get the actual cost in writing before you commit.

What if my deadline is in a few hours?

Call the creditor or agency now, confirm the amount and ask for a short extension while funding is arranged. Then start the enquiry and call us. Our deadline pages explain what is realistic for each window.

What if you can't help?

We'll say so on the first call and, where we can, suggest the next sensible step — such as an ATO payment plan or advice from your accountant or a solicitor.

Why does the form ask so many specifics?

Because accurate answers let us pick the right route the first time. In an emergency, a correct first answer saves more time than a quick, rough one.
